Hextable

Game Description

Hextable is a custom arcade cabinet created by Michael Schmitt. The hexagon-shaped cabinet features six buttons and a rotation of six-player one-button minigames. It has been featured at the East Coast Gaming Conference and the MAGFest Indie Arcade among other places.

More information about the inspiration for the table and details of how it was created can be found on the Triangle Interactive Arts Collective’s page about the project.

My Role: Programming + Game Design
  • Consolidated all games into a single Unity project.
  • Implement logic to automatically and infinitely rotate between games.
  • Added a persistent scoring mechanism to keep track of each player’s score across the games.
  • Created the Bowling Jump and Dizzy Arrows minigames and added them to the rotation.
